“The 2010 West Virginia Wildlife Calendars are now available for everyone to enjoy,” according to Curtis Taylor, Chief of the Division of Natural Resources Wildlife Resources Section.

Hunters are reminded that the additional firearms deer gun stamp (Class RG - Resident; or Class RRG - Nonresident) for taking an additional deer during the buck firearms season must be purchased prior to November 23, 2009, according to Curtis Taylor, Chief of the Wildlife Resources Section of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources.

Certain visitors to Tu-Endie-Wei State Park in Mason County this past summer will be getting a special reward during Veterans Day week in appreciation for their interest in the historic site. A limited edition commemorative coin has been stamped and will be sent to those who participated in special “ranger walk and talks” conducted by Park Superintendent Doug Wiant with hundreds of interested visitors.

West Virginia State Park Gift Cards are in demand this time of year and continue to be a popular holiday gift option. As was offered last year, State Parks will provide “Something Extra” with gift cards purchased online or by telephone Nov. 1 through Dec. 15 to thank customers for supporting state parks as places to visit and enjoy, according to W.Va. State Parks Chief Ken Caplinger.
