This weekend the weather and work finally co-operated and I was able to head out and try out my new camera. Went to a couple of locations, first was Britiana ship yards in Steveston and then to Iona park just north of the Airport.

Just added some new pictures to by photo album after a long absence. This time the subject is Comet McNaught that brightned unexpectly to be visible with the naked eye. I took the pictures from your office here in Richmond which was nice considering that in the last few days we've had a major snow fall and cold snap. I wasn't really looking forward to standing out in the cold taking these pictures! You can read more information about the comet at the Space Weather web site. The camera I used was my new Digital Rebel XTi with a 70-300mm zoom lens.
