Even if your school years have long since ended, your never too old to learn, or just sharpen your thinking. The simple but amazing fact is, the more you learn, the more you’re able to learn. Why? One theory is that an active brain continues to grow, thanks to forming new dendrites (a branched extension of a nerve cell neuron that receives electrical signals from other neurons and conducts those signals to the cell body). The more dendrites you have, the better able your brain is to store and retrieve information. To continue learning: interact with smart people, try a new hobby, learn a foreign language, do the daily crossword puzzle take up a musical instrument, read a book, or even better is to join a book club, and benefit from social interaction with others.
