A War Between the States living history and skirmish on November 21st at the 1812 Hitching Post in Turnersburg , NC (near Statesville). The 1812 Hitching Post is a historic home and sits on over a hundred acres of pasture, fields, and woodland. It is a perfect location to hold a skirmish. We plan to camp (for those that can) on Friday night. There will be plenty of firewood to keep us warm. The living history will be from 9am to 3pm, with a scripted battle for the crowd at 1pm . The folks that run the 1812 Hitching Post will provide a very nice lunch for the reenactors (free of charge) . We are also planning to have a tactical for the reenactors only around 8:30am . As I mentioned the property lends itself very well for this as well. Let me know if you would like to come. If so, please let me about how many from your respective units will attend.
