Acne Vulgaris The forms of acne are varied and so is acne treatment. The severity can range from mild to highly marring. Some forms might require insistent acne treatment. Acne Vulgaris: Acne vulgaris is a mild to moderate type of acne and is amongst the most prevalent forms. These include a large variety of pimples. Whiteheads, blackheads, pustules, papules, cysts and nodules fall under this category. • Whiteheads: When pores are blocked completely they trap bacteria, sebum and dead cells, resulting in a whitish appearance on the skin’s surface. These are referred to as whiteheads. These generally have a smaller life cycle when compared to blackheads. • Blackheads: When pores are partially blocked, some of the bacteria, sebum and dead cells slowly come up to the skin’s surface, resulting in the formation of a blackhead.
