After a group of high-school boys were ogling Danielle Panabaker, Presely overheard the young actress’s mother say to her, “Remember—rule number one: boys only want one thing.” Eventually, the incident became a running joke on the set, and it led Presley to write a script centered around this piece of maternal wisdom. A promising, up-and-coming actress, Panabaker has appeared in a number of TV and feature film roles and enthusiastically agreed to star in Presley’s pilot. What is your advice for people shooting pilots next year ? “Concentrate on preproduction—writing, location, budget, scheduling,” said Presley.
