Well, like the idiot I am.......I once again tempted fate by going to play at high speeds prior to my big journey back stateside regardless of how many times in the last week dad has told me "do NOT get hurt playing with your toys." It was an amazing day although it was blistering hot and humid all day. I had the pleasure of going around the track in a FORD GT this time as well as the day full of the R1-SP. 5 more days and I'm out of here towards the USA for the Big Bike Ride and I will try to post as many photos as I can along the journey. Well the bike went in for its first oil change and a few upgrades. The new handlebars are in place as well as a lot more chrome. the windshield and sissy bars are installed just for the upcoming trip. another 500 miles to the first service and the bike will be ready to go.

14 Aug 06 I will be heading back across the ocean during the first week in Sept to East Texas. Dad and I will be loading the bikes into the trailer and heading off to Utah to meet up with my brother. We will depart Salt Lake around the 8th of Sept towards San Francisco. Traverse the Bay bridge as well as the Golden Gate bridge before heading north along the coast line towards Oregon and then Washington. Stopover in Washington allows a visit to my aunt and uncle and cousin for a day before heading further up into canada. We haven't decided whether or not we're going to make it all the way to sturgis so we can pass Mt. Rushmore but we're surely gonna try. Right now priorities are set on getting the H-D in order for the trip and dad getting enough miles on it for the first service :) Guess if he doesn't pull it off I can just pull it out of the trailer and get a few miles on it enroute to Utah and service it there before we start. Will try to keep this place updated with pics ...
