-+Funny things Kelby says
Kids say the darndest things. Everyday on the way home from daycare we go by the public fishing area on the lake. Everyday right before we go by he takes a deep breath/sigh and says "I go fishing widdle bit" if I don't say anything then he says "pwwwease daddy, we go fishing widdle bit". When I say ok but just for a little bit he yells “yaayee we go fishing”. So we go fishing a lot. How in the world can you say no? When I drove into our driveway, under the trees, and in the shade, Kelby said "the sun can't see us now".  When I was pulling him in his wagon, I was making veroom veroom car noises Kelby yells "stop it daddy this is a wagon not a car"!   God bless Kirk

My arm works again, yes, yipity do da and yee he he.   I had to get a second surgery to remove a huge chunk of abnormal bone growth. For the last four months I have been unable to use my left arm and I am left handed. My arm was getting more and more painful 24/7and I was not sleeping very good. Needless to say I was getting a bit grumpy and depressed. On March 11th I had surgery, when I woke up I looked at my hand and could see my palm. I was so excided as that was the first time in four months that I could do that. After 1 week the swelling and pain was gone and I can now move it almost 100%. I can once again type with two hands. Too bad my spelling is just as impaired as always ha ha. The doctor said I still am not supposed to lift over 5lbs with the arm. That is imposable for me too adhere to completely with a very rambunctious 35lb two year old around. I just hope I get through this with out messing up the repair. I am back in physical therapy twice a week. Now that it does not ...

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year! It has been too long since our last post, or should I say Kirk's last post.  Kelby is now a little over two years old.  He is a VERY rambunctious little boy.  We celebrated his second birthday at Chuck-E- Cheese.  He had a blast!  He loved all the rides but the most fun was putting the tokens in.  He jammed one of the rides by putting a handful in at a time, last time we rode that one for the night (see pics of his birthday) I just re-did Kelby's room during the holidays.  He is all about trucks, trains, airplanes and tractors, so that is what his room is.  The first time he saw it he said "cool". (see pics) Kelby loves to sing, his favorite is twinkle twinkle little star.  He plays it on the piano (his version) and sings a capella.  Last week he was outside on the deck with Kirk, there is a tight wire that runs from corner to corner of the gate on our deck.  If you hit it, it makes a twang.  Kelby got a stick and was ...

I added some new pictures. I am recovering from the surgery on my arm and can not type very well.  I hope my arm heals soon. I got the cast off two weeks ago and now it is in a weird brace that is very uncomfortable.  The Doctor says the surgery went really good but right now I can not do anything with that arm while it heals. I go back to see him again next week.   God Bless Kirk

Wow. It has been awhile. We had a major computer meltdown at home and I was out of work for two months. That really puts a crimp in the blogging.   Kelby is now 22 months old and of course growing like a weed and talking up a storm. The first time he seen it dark outside was when it started getting dark earlier at night (before his bedtime) he looked out the window and got a really worried look on his face and said “outside all gone”. He then took each of us by the hand to the window and pointed out telling us “outside all gone” over and over again. We had to take him outside and show him that it was just dark out and that outside was still there.   He is part monkey and started climbing out of his crib 3 months ago. We had to make it into a day bed so he would not hurt himself. A week after that he learned how to open doors. He would no longer stay in his bed or room when it was nap or bed time. He started waking up an hour after putting him in bed and would come into our ...
