It's a nice late summer day, although it's in August but I can sense the coming of autumn. Summer has gone or it has never literally stayed... I am quite having appetite since a while, and also balcony mood. I made my lunch, some yesterday Fusilli with tuna sauce and dark olive. Very good combination, and me and Michi always like the second day pasta. I sat in the balcony, having my lunch and reading a book. I remember last time I was sitting here was about two years ago. A very warm afternoon, sun ray was too bright that I had to wear sun glasses. Neighbours and kids were loud at the little square. I was calling my Mum talking about recent life. But not this time, and it won't ever again either... I don't know why i didn't come to the balcony for so long. Maybe because I was all the time busy, or the weather was never allowed me to do so, or I just simply didn't like this neighbourhood and the kids play football who makes lots of noises. all right, i shall write it down now, otherwise never gonna happen. it's really weird to not to take a shower or even wash my face then hanging around in the city. this f**king siwmming pool f**king closed again. it's not f**king the first time, either second...you somehow planned your whole day because you gonna go swimming. so i got up 6:30 started to work, without taking any shower, just waited till the time you can go not you want to go. because they have f**king stupid timetable unlike anyother country in the world, why the f**k i have to follow the schedule? it's like in the morning 7-8, one hour open, lunch 12-13 one hour open, evening 20-21 one hour open, that's it. what are they doing with the pool of water without people in it... i hanging around, i brought a pair of earrings, i want to have that book called the parallel encyclopedia but they are not in stock. i want to have wangton soup, so badly. im having stomach-ache for two three days, i need some warm Chinese ...

这篇是写给老头子的。老头子遗传给我的除了模样以外，还有对美食的研究。不过关于模样，越是大就越有人讲说我长的像我妈。不过总之我没遗传到他们漂亮的地方。 我是想说，我屋子里的九层塔长的很好，都再不用担心说家里没有新鲜的香料可以用。关于九层塔，我也是才知道它的中文名字。这个东西我大概只会用在煮意大利饭。对于我的意式橱艺我还是很骄傲的，大概是会比我的中餐要做的好。话回来九层塔，英文名字Basil, 意大利文：basilicum。因为是北方长大的小孩，来欧洲这么多年一直误以为basilicum是来自地中海，亚洲是没有这种香料的。 一天和台湾的朋友去吃泰国菜，我们点的泰国basilicum炒尤鱼。我还在感叹说为什么在亚洲没有这种东西呢？结果我朋友（南方人）说，“哦，我妈总是会用这个草来炒尤鱼啊！中文名字是九层塔。” 我一下恍然大悟，只记得小学还是初中有一篇美文题目是九层塔。不过我从来也没有念过，只知道结局很悲伤...”自此九层塔在我的印象中是一种很神秘的东西，甚至我都不清楚是什么物种的东西... 饭后我马上就去查还有什么香料我根本就知道，还误以为是仙草之类之类。 有一样东西还是瞒神奇的，便是茴香。此生只吃过几次茴香包子，也从来没有包过所以实在不知道茴香是个什么样子，只知道是很细很细的叶子。不过茴香的味道到是独特到一吃便知道是茴香。 在欧洲的市场上总是会看到一种奇异的蔬菜叫做fennel。是很大一棵象根一样或是相当粗壮的茎，很壮实，其实样子有些象心脏。颜色是白色过渡到分支的时候是淡绿色。在欧洲那么久我从来都没有想过要去试一下这个异果，因为这个形状我实在试不知道要怎样我做。只是今年有一个project是要用很多蔬菜来拍照片，因为其相貌我实在是要试在我的照片内。后来拍完照片自然会把那些瓜瓜果果的东西煮来吃。结果吃到fennel就觉得这个味道好象茴香。可是奇怪了我知道茴香的叶子很细很小，到也很象fennel上还残留的一些叶子。可是在中国我们明明就是吃叶子啊。 wikipedia上讲呢，中国人吃茴香的叶子还有拿种子做香料。外国人吃茴香的茎／根。 不过我个人认为茎／根比叶子要好吃，吃起来有些象芹菜不过是茴香的味道。 所以老头子，要是在南方找的到九层塔和茴香的话，做来试试！
