话说今年（2009年）3月底开始看新车的时候自己的主要目标就集中在了2009 Pontiac G8 GT上，因为经过去年大半年的观察、定位逐渐感觉这款车是GM生产出来的最为令人激动人心的车型之一，并且价钱非常有吸引力。3月底的时候和Dealer初步谈了一下得知从GM那里可以直接拿到6500块钱的折扣，另外有1000块钱折扣可以曲线救国方式再拿到手里，所以总共是7500块钱折扣。另外我的公司员工能够以GM Supplier Discount按照Dealer Invoice Price + 4%计算价钱，基本上算下来$34000到$35000上路价能搞定一辆2009 Pontiac G8 GT。 3月底到4月中旬的时候尚处于观望、比价的阶段；同时在网上也到处搜集信息发现有些人能够以Dealer的Invoice Price买下G8 GT，于是从4月中旬下旬开始正式寻找1SB Package、Sports Red外观+红黑色内饰的车。整个过程中GM处于破产保护中关于Pontiac命运的两方面消息（保留、砍掉）一直反反复复出现在各种媒体中，最后终于明确了Pontiac要被砍掉，这就意味着所有Pontiac的车（除了Vibe）将不再生产。在整个安大略省乃至加拿大范围内G8 GT的库存数量都非常少（V6的倒是很多），要买的话就是在剩下的库存中挑选自己喜欢的，原本Sports Red外观+红黑色内饰的GT完全没有，想要的话要从厂里直接定做，从3月底开始加拿大的Pontiac车行就不再进车了，所以整个过程就非常犹豫因为没有选择，等最后决定要Liquid Red + 红黑内饰的时候就已经完全找不到了。另外一个因素是G8 GT其实是GM的澳洲分部Holden的Commodore的北美版而且全部在澳洲生产了运输过来的，一旦Pontiac停产日后保养、维护用的零件供应感觉上不容乐观。至此等到5月份的时候我们做出了决定放弃G8 GT，其实真是不甘心。 到了这个地步对于选车出现了十分迷惘的感觉，并不是说市面上没有车可买而是能够足够令人激动人心并且有比较好的性价比的车型在我的眼里已经不存在了。期间也考虑过Cadillac CTS，是不错的车但是就是价钱贵了点。我们甚至想过买2005到2006年的Cadillac ...
