In the next two weeks, we will be shutting down the Windows Live for TV service that was released in beta in January 2007. The service which also went by the name Orbit, was a small developer focused beta targeted to 2,000 users and primarily set up to give our passionate Windows Live and Windows Vista Media Center consumers the ability to see and interact with their Messenger contacts and Spaces friends on their TV. Given the limited demand and use of the service, it never made it out of beta and as a result we are going to be closing it down for the small number of existing participants on June 24 th . Thank you to those of you who were passionate about the service and who provided valuable feedback during the beta; that feedback will help guide future product direction for both Windows Live and Windows.
