I found resisting temptation to be a lot easier this week. I even went and picked up lunch for co-workers and did not get anything for myself. I was very proud of myself. I had students bring up birthday treats to me and I left them on my desk and gave them to my daughter at the end of the day. I have found that I wake up before my alarm goes off in the mornings. I, also, get fewer headaches. I have found my new favorite snack. Light n fit vanilla yogurt with peanuts. Its just a little sweet with a little salt.

We had our second weigh in today. We are both doing well. We have lost 18.5 pounds so far. It is very encouraging. We know we need to add in more exercise but right now wind chills are in the single digits and lower so walking is out. I (Tami) am more careful about counting points and getting plenty of water every day. I am excited and it helps that our kids know we are doing this. I am noticing that it is easier for me to get up in the mornings and I don't seem to drag so much at the end of the day.

This week has been a liitle more difficult than last because everyone is back to work. Working as a secretary leads to all kinds of temptations. We had cake in the office 2 days this week because of birthdays. I am happy to say I was able to pass it by both times. Then there was the candy and chips that were passed around the office and the ice cream the secretary next to me was eating. Temptations everywhere. We did have pizza this week but I made sure to count every point and I still ended up with weekly points left over. I guess we will see how that shows on the scale. I am still determined to lose this weight.
