Good news, I missed BL this week! Of course, I'm sure you're wondering what insanity has gotten into me...well I was redecorating my office all weeekend and this week, between class, lab and making dinner, I've been slowly putting the room back together. Rearranging furniture, painting, and moving back and forth trying to get supplies. My suggestion is if you are ever trying to lose weight and you've got a project to do, DON'T get all your supplies in one spot ahead of time. LOL. You have to keep moving from room to room to grab stuff you forgot so you're burning more calories. Of course, you won't get the project done on time, but really, what's more important? I also printed up a tracking chart. I'm not keeping track of exactly what I eat, unless it's out of the norm for a meal (like snacking on chips or fudge, and when I did it). I'm using this to track my routine and to get an idea of my habits and problems. The chart is in excel and covers a six-week period ...

This past weekend I beat the crap outta myself when I went to aerobics and thighs/abs class on Saturday and an aikido class on Sunday. I signed for these three classes through my local community college and let me tell you, I worked my butt off. I loved Aidido. My sensei is hilarious and she doesn't scare the bejesus out of me like my Karate sensei did a decade ago. The best part was that when she had us randomly doing 10 pushups I didn't do girlie ones with my knees on the ground! On Monday my abs and pecs were hurting. My sister, who took the abs class with me said her thighs were killing her. My thighs are pretty strong from when my personal trainer got a hold of me in 2006. I VERY MUCH ENJOYED seeing a lot of thinner women straining to do squats while it was not hard for me at all! I still don't know what I weigh. Someone remind me to go to my friend's house and get on the damn scale. Better yet, one of you out there in the universe should just buy me a ...

I can't believe that I haven't been posting on a daily basis! So much for my plan of not eating refined sugar and added sodium. I've been eating bits of that hidden sugar from salad dressing and sodium in soups. But what I really noticed was when i ate those chips and the pasta. My body just does not agree with those bad carbs. I do great with rice and potatoes but tortillas, pasta, chips... my body screams VIVA LA REVOLUCION!! The workouts are going well but I still can't explain my mysterious 2 mile foot numbing. My chiropractor diagnosed me with flat feet which seems to have aggravated my patellafemoral syndrome (my knees don't track correctly). Thus, my knees lock up in seated positions or when I'm asleep (that hurts like a mofo when trying to straighten knees in ones sleep) and "pop" when I run or walk up/down stairs. So at 2 miles of jogging/walking my feet start to numb. I'm wondering if it's anything like carpal tunnel, only it affects the nerve ...
