唔知個history真定假o架呢... 今日遇到架 XX 重要係 808 (之類)... 都幾特別... btw.. o係tst 返sk 又行錯路.. 跟o左九龍城牌入土瓜灣.. 點解會咁o架呢.... ================== 車牌冷知識 唔知大家有冇諗過, 出牌由 AA 開始, 點解無啦啦會有個 XX 出左來呢? 但係又冇 XY 喎........ ================== 自百多年前香港有第一部汽車行駛開始，警務處 (當年係由警署管理車輛) 以四位數字為限設定香港車牌的標準，以當年之環境，冇人會想到此彈丸之地有可能超過 10000 架汽車，於是乎車牌由 1,2,3..1111...開始，此後幾十年間車輛增加數目不多，此編排方法亦相安無事。順帶一提，警隊一哥之 1 號車牌亦是因當年籍管理車輛之權力而得。 直至 5,60 年代，香港經濟第一次起飛，沿用之四位數字已接近爆棚，「聰明」之警務處長想到不如加個 HK 字頭於前面以連接無字頭 9999 號車牌，心想此一妙計一可突顯「香港」之名字，二可再可用多五十，一百 年不變。 怎料大勢所趨，汽車不再是富人之專有工具，HK 字頭好快又近尾聲，今次考起處長，用完 HK 之後又點呢？於一份 MEMO 中，惟有劃上 XX1234 之字樣，顯然當時處長還未想得到解決辦法，XX 只是代表一個未知的符號；不料此張 MEMO 碰考由他屬下拾到，誤想處長決定以 XX 跟著 HK 出牌，於是 XX 字頭因此而產生！ 經過兩次教訓後，後人便聰明得多，想到不如以 AA，AB 排列便可長用，當時的想法是英文字母只會以順序排列，即 AA,AB,AC.....BB,BC....CC,CD....DD，DE...EE，FF....，亦因此從未出過 BA 字頭，直至出幾年B？字頭之後，發覺以此排列法亦不能長用,，於是到 C 字頭時又調轉頭，出 CA 牌。 再舉個例字證明運輸科之短視，當年政府車輛並無專用之英文字頭，出牌出至大約到 AD，AE 時，高官突然想起不如將所有政府車都用同一個字頭，並無啦啦冠上AM字頭，當時AM字頭距離經已發出的字頭尚遠，亦冇想過民用車輛會超越 AM 到達AN，AP...，我拗爆頭都想唔到 AM 代表什麼?! ...

This is a line deliverd by Carrie to Charlotte when she knew from Charlotte's husband that Charlotte stopped running after knowing that she was finally pregnant. Charlotte and her husband were "reproduction challenged" in the movie "Sex and the City". To her, that's a miracle and she's afraid that her habbit of running might harm. What I like about the setting was that Charlotte didn't get back to running as usual right after that. Instead, she was first back with the dogs, very slowly and very carefully; then as time passed, she gradually got back to her normal pace as her confidence about herself and her baby grew up within her. Although it was mentioned many times in the movie, life isn't a fairy tale, "Sex and the city" the movie or the drama itself is a fairy tale and there're lots of complaints about its fairy-tale ending. But what's wrong with fairy tales? Well, we know it's not true - don't worry.
