Well I finally have a complete engine. I bought it from another member of our club for only $50. He had no idea of its condition and was afraid that I might be getting another lemon. When I did get a chance to take it apart we found that it was in perfect shape and ready for some basic "have to" rebuid parts. Hopefully soon I can get them ordered and I will be able to start putting it back together. Becky and I had decided on a paint color "finally", but have since changed our minds. (She changed her mind) I wanted a tan body with brown fenders. She wants it now to be the same color as her car. We did see one that color at a recent car show we went to. That's the other thing major that has happened since my birthday. Last weekend (June 1st-3rd) we had a road trip up to Effingham Illinois. This is where Mid America Motorworks is located. This is a major place to purchase parts for VW's. We haven't orderd anything from them because people in our group say that ...
