The JCP Chanukah Party will be on December 13 between 3 PM and 5:30 PM at 1912 Center in Moscow (412 E 3rd St, between Adams & Van Buren). It will be a potluck. The JCP will provide beverages, paper products, utensils, and LATKES. Please bring a dish to share with six other people. Students do not have to bring food. We have permission to light candles at the 1912 Center, so each family can bring a Chanukah menorah and candles. It will be the third night of Chanukah. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS NOW: (a) for set-up & decoration (come at 2:30 PM); (b) for running children's activities; and (b) for clean-up (between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM). The JCP will be participating in the Moscow Interfaith Association Thanksgiving Event on Thursday, November 19, between 6 PM and 7 PM, at the 1912 Center (412 E 3rd St, Between Adams & Van Buren, Moscow, Idaho). If you are interested in attending, the JCP would like help in bringing food to share at the event (cookies, fruit, veggies, etc.). Please contact Myron Schreck. If you are interested in a parent cooperative Sunday school Religious Education program for children under the age of 13, please contact Susan Austin at (509) 334-1634 or at susanferman@yahoo.com. The program is scheduled at the K-House, 720 NE Thatuna, Pullman, WA, on the following dates in 2009 – Oct. 4, Nov. 8, & Dec. 13 – and the following dates in 2010 – Jan. 17, Feb. 7, March 7, & April 4. The classes meet between 10:30 AM and Noon.

The JCP Sukkot Celebration will be on Sunday, OCTOBER 4th, between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM at the home of Pat Carter & Nancy Yorinks, 124 N. Polk Street in Moscow. This will be a vegetarian/dairy potluck. Bring food to share, but please do not bring any meat or seafood. The JCP will provide beverages. This will be especially fun for the children. Note that it is LATER in the afternoon and please try to arrive by 4 PM.

The following is our schedule for High Holy Day Services. No tickets are needed. ROSH HASHANAH EVENING SERVICE: Friday Night, Sept 18, 2009, at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Moscow, 420 E 2nd Street (behind the 1912 Building). We will start at 6:45 PM and have a pot-luck reception to follow services. Please bring a sweet finger snack to share. The JCP will provide honey, challah, and beverages. ROSH HASHANAH DAY SERVICES: Saturday, Sept 19, 2009, at the K-House in Pullman, 720 NE Thatuna Street, across from Davis residence hall on the WSU campus. We will start at 10:00 AM and go until about 1:00 PM. YOM KIPPUR EVENING SERVICE: Sunday Night, Sept 27, 2009, at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Moscow. We will start at 6:45 PM.
