5 千英里驱车, 4 颗勇敢的心, 3 个多星期, 2 个文化的冲击, 1 个横穿美国的梦想 感谢 坐在西北航空 1226 航班上,听者 Jack Johnson 的 ”Never Know”—you never know, you never know, you never know… Eva ...
-+Back to sweet home Durham!!!

What's up, tigers? So I am finally back to sweet home Durham last night!   The summer is awesome! I had a great time with my friends at Shanghai, awesome McK projects in Beijing, relaxing vacation in Bali Indonesia, exciting and fun traveling around China... I went to three new countries -- Vietnam, Indonesia, and Cambodia, and one additional province in China -- Shanxi. This does not help me cross out any items in my “Things to Do before 30” list, but it is quite something for me.   The traveling is perfect, but also made me tired like a dog. I finished the traveling on Aug 30 and then took a plane to fly here. When I reached home last night, I could barely speak. This morning, thanks to jetlag, I woke up at 6:00. Went to Wilson gym, but God Damn Sunday, it does not open that early. I then drove to Duke Forest to jog. Dude, it is awesome to back to the forest! I recalled what Richard said last night “Second year is only 8 months, I will live every day to the ...
-+Excel Tips from Peter

Start... to use shortcuts!   30 Jul 2008 Although there (hopefully) will be loads of other tips in future entries, here's the best time saver (not only for Excel): Use as many keyboard shortcuts as possible!!! Considering how much single steps it takes over time to build a complex model (or even just add all the small back of the envelope Excels you do in the course of a study) and the fact that you save a few milli-seconds to seconds for each steps, this will add up quite significantly... So where the get them from? Just type "shortcuts" into the help field on the top right and open the help articel on "Keyboard Shortcuts". Here are some of the most important ones: Editing CTRL+C Copy CTRL+X Cut CTRL+V Paste CTRL+R (right) This copies the content of the left cell in the selection to cells right of it (in the selection). Much faster then first copy cell, then select new cells and then paste. CTRL+D (down) Same as CTRL+R , just copies ...
-+Books that I am/was reading...

So basically this is the deal. I read a book. Finished it last month. Shit, it is not only a book, it is THE ONE! “A heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius” is so fucking genius. Basically, Eggers told a story about a youth (actually himself in real world!), my age, struggling with his shitting life. Dead parents, little brother, always changing girl friends, suicide indulge buddies…all people related to the guy’s life. Shit, what’s his name again? I seriously have problem of remembering names… Back to the story… So Eggers described everything in such a black humor way, that always made me laugh out so loudly in Shanghai subway. People around must think I am a fucking crazy dude running out of hospital one hour ago. But I don’t give a shit. Wait! Dude, you must think the book is awesome. But wait, wait, wait… The book is much more than that, much better! There are at least one “fuck”, “dick”, “asshole”, or “shit” related words on each page. My “F***-level” vocabulary ...
