It’s almost over. In the beginning, I was most excited about seeing the transformation of all the Rockers and watching them develop. Seeing how television, worldwide exposure, stress and competition affect everyone is such a huge factor. I think if we watched the performances from the first show compared to this week, it would be night and day. So it’s been a really interesting process to watch. I thought last week’s show was so great with the originals— I was just blown away. I think Storm, for one, has a huge hit, she’ll go on to great things. And she was so gracious and had so much positive energy. I was wondering what it would be like without the Mama of the house. She really seemed to be the one who kept everything together. And she was always rooting for everyone and dancing for everyone. She’s always full of life. I’m going to miss her. And now Dilana who’s the one woman standing! Dilana’s been going through some tough weeks but she’s so talented, she’ll be fine. I don’t ...

A lot of drama happening... In terms of Dilana— look, she made a mistake and she learned a lesson. I really respect the fact that she owned up to it, apologized, acknowledged it and learned from it. I really feel for her. I do think that learning how to do an interview in sort of a neutral way takes time and experience. But she has so many fans and talent that musically she’s going to overcome this. Last week were two great shows, really strong performances. As always, Dilana was amazing. I loved Toby’s version of “Layla.” Ryan’s original song was a great opportunity for him. And though Patrice also did an original song, I think they made the right choice for elimination. Magni killed the Jimi Hendrix song— that was hot. Toby was also great. He was kind of going through some of his own stuff for a while and now, like Ryan, Toby’s back in the game. With Lukas—I can appreciate that him wanting to jam with the band but he’s got three minutes up there and he needs to play more to ...

At this stage last year, people were taking a lot of chances but only making choices that they knew they’d be able to conquer. So the Rockers have to give their best performance every single show because they’re one performance away from leaving. It’s less about a competition amongst each other and more about a competition with themselves. They need to challenge themselves; they need to give everything they’ve got every show and yet still give Supernova some variety. It’s a week-to-week thing; anybody could blow you away at this stage. The stripped down show was great, it really showcased the Rocker’s voices. Ryan is continually surprising everyone. He’s had such a transformation since his first month. Dilana, as expected, continues to blow everyone away. Lukas took Jason’s advice and as much as he’s been getting a little criticism, he’s been showing more singing now than ever. Fortunately Storm has enough fans to carry her through and I thought she sang “I Will Survive” great. She ...

There were some surprises this week. I was surprised to see Ryan in the bottom three. It was interesting because Tommy didn’t quite know what to say about Ryan’s performance but Dave loved it. He’s making some bold choices, which is good, and it was a really memorable performance. The double elimination was also a total surprise. It just goes to show that nobody is safe. You know, they’ve all got to bring it big time and show they deserve to be there. Jill and Josh have amazing voices but maybe not for Supernova. I was so happy to hear Lukas really sing. I think everybody had been waiting for that performance and he was just captivating doing the ballad. Toby too. “Burning Down the House” was my favorite performance of Toby’s. I did agree with Dave that he didn’t need a prop but then, it still worked. He was great. For the show today, it’ll be interesting to see what happens. It will be a unique blend of rock and roll, all stripped down with a full string section. At ...
