Albert Camus The gift that suffering provides us is that it teaches us how to become Masters of Love! But how you might ask? That which we call "suffering" is an experience we create for ourselves so that we can refine or increase our ability to love ourselves, love another and love the whole of the creation. When we "suffer" we ultimately feel abandoned and alone. As well, we feel that we are unworthy and unlovable. But all of this is just the ultimate illusion, an illusion that has us believing that we are somehow separate from God/Goddess and somehow undeserving of His/Her love. We are meant to have dominion over or be the stewards or nurturers of all of creation. But that dominion or stewardship is not one of "possession," but it is a stewardship of love.
