The camera never lies, is an old saying. But we all know that images that cameras produce can be made to lie. Photographs can be Photoshopped and video can be edited and have all kinds of technology applied to it so that what we see may indeed be a lie. On November 18th I made a post to this blog entitled The Cat and the Cop. The post linked to a page on the BBC website that showed a video of a cat harassing a cop as he tried to write out a ticket. I remarked The Police Officer showed incredible patience, the cat showed incredible determination. The result . . . hilarious! I have now been alerted to another version of that video. This version carries on from where the version on the BBC site left off. Apparently, the patience of that cop ran out. It shows the cop kicking the cat to get it away from him. I don't mean that he kicked the cat like a football, but he did kick it enough to move the cat several feet. That cop may have been very tolerant of the cat but he should ...
