It is reported that the currently the Philadelphia School District is faced with a more than $200 million shortfall in funding.

Now, as New Orleans slowly begins to regain some of its former glory, New Orleans schools that are part of the city’s largest school district are embarking on a new program of change that seeks to revamp the existing system and streamline it.

For this, the education system here deserves praise. But the fact is that budgets are getting increasingly tighter at many school districts. When inflation rises and costs increase, it’s harder to maintain the kind of high standard levels in Nashville schools that have been achieved with such hardship.

Instability has been constant in the school district, and the district has seen superintendents change every year. In April last year, the elections to the Kansas City schools district board had just one contestant which is indicative of a serious and worrying lack of interest in the school’s health. Superintendents in Kansas City schools have been known to last for a maximum of 12 months in recent years, with fresh and expensive elections with their associated politics being conducted on a regular basis.
