2009 Suzuki Equator - Road Test - Project Truck Suzuki was nice enough to loan us one of the company's new Equator trucks to drive and give it the Sport Truck treatment. Suzuki was nice enough to loan us one of the company's new Equator trucks to drive and give it the Sport Truck treatment. We are going to transform this truck into a corner-carving beast that will have enough power to fry the tires at will and still look good parked at the show. We're going to add a full Stillen power package, which includes an intercooled supercharger and a high-flow exhaust system. For the suspension, we're going to have Shaughn Reid and the crew at Streetshock rip out the factory stuff and fabricate a full QA1 coilover setup with a four-link out back. Max at Bio Kustomz will do his magic on the spindles for a few more inches of drop and some Toyo rubber on 20-inch MB Gunner wheels will round out the suspension. To add some flash to go along with our power and handling, Eightball Rods ...

2009 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid Road Test - Juiced Up Silverado We Drive The '09 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid The Hybrid Financial Equation Does driving a hybrid like the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado make any financial sense? We calculate that in the course of a 15,000-mile year, you'd save roughly 350 gallons of fuel compared to driving any other pickup with a mid-size V-8 and an automatic. You can do the math using whatever the cost per gallon may be when you read this. The payback is certainly better when gas is $4 a gallon compared to when it's $2. With a starting price of almost $39,000, the smart reader is going to ask what part of that price is linked to the hybrid powertrain? The answer is about $4,000 if you do a feature-by-feature comparison. When you do that, you'll see that even the base Silverado Hybrid is loaded with features. 2008 NIssan Titan Pro-4X - Say Hello To Our Not-So-Little Friend The 2008 Nissan Titan Pro-4X finds a home in the Sport Truck garage. Road Test We just took delivery of a new-to-us Nissan Titan. The truck, an '08 model with a little over 12,000 miles on the clock, is a Pro-4X model, which means that it's loaded with some great features and an electronically controlled four-wheel-drive system and is more than just some stylish stickers on the bedsides. Since ours is a 4x4, don't expect us to be droppin' this one on some big rims because that would be like putting lipstick on a pig. We'll be outfitting this rig with a bit more altitude and attitude in the coming months, instead of taking the low road. For now though, let's take a look at what you get with a $38,620 MSRP on the window sticker. 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 - Road Test Ride Shotgun As We Hit The Road In What Is Possibly The Best Ram Ever Road Test Way back when, people who needed trucks-farmers, ranchers, delivery guys, construction workers, linemen-drove trucks. Then something weird happened: Pickups got cool. Everybody wanted to drive one. Suddenly, F-150s and C/Ks sprouted up like Starbucks coffee houses across the suburban landscape. These new drivers liked the "tough" style statement and defended the purchase by making two trips a year to Home Depot. Carrying nothing but air in their beds 99 percent of the time, the truck's capabilities were wasted. Damn poseurs.
