The backstory: I have 2 houses. I have had home owners through all-state on house #1. then we bought another house and requested a quote from them to cover house #2. I have a request for payment from a CA , on a debt that has expired (its 7 years old and Calif has a 4 yr SOL)- Is it better to ignore all their communication or to send a DV? They noted on the request that if I didnt notify their office that I intend to dispute the validity in writing within 30 days, they would assume the debt as valid. I know that they cant sue me, but I don't want to reset the clock and I'd like minimal harrassment. . .
